Kids on TV Again!

A few weeks ago, my family was featured on a Fox News UT report on Autism and the possible diagnosis changes being proposed.  Click here for the past post that has links to the video.

KUTV News Interview on Autism in Utah

Twin A - Screen clip from the interview!

Well, come to find out, one of our twins was also in a second feature from KUTV2 News in Utah.  You’ll see him throughout the clip but at 1:15 – he has a one line solo cameo.  🙂

Utah doesn’t have insurance coverage for autism so we feel incredibly grateful and fortunate that we can live here close to family and have been able to get into programs that help and support our boys.

Versatile Blogger

Look for my post coming soon!

On a separate note, thank you to All Things Boys Blog who nominated this blog for a “Versatile Blog Award.”  So look for my new post about the award and don’t forget to visit this outstanding blog.  Really cool = her posts about her boys in Hawaii recently and their adventures.  Here’s a link to one of them surfing.  Made me homesick!

How wonderful that your boys were able to be on TV. Do they like watching themselves??

    Congrats on your nomination!

    • They LOVE seeing themselves on TV. They figured out that videos I take on my iPhone have an “arrow” on it so they are constantly watching themselves.

      Thank you!

  2. I couldn’t get the clip to play on this post, but I did see your other one say CHEESE! in the newsreel. He is TOO cute! Great blog, and thanks for the shout out above with the link!

    • Sorry – the picture is just a screem clipping – I should probably put that in the description. Thanks so much for visit and again, for the nomination – I’ve almost finished the post. 🙂

That is a scary statistic about autism in Utah. Informative and revealing.

What beautiful children you have! As for the desire to redefine autism, it seems to come at a time when more and more children are being diagnosed. To me, it appears this change in the definition (diagnosis) is directly linked to funding and insurance coverage. Why else would they even consider it? Someone, somewhere, will be saving money, allotting some of the funds once used for special needs programs to instead cover items they’ve deemed more important, or raking in higher profits.

    • It’s always about the bottom dollar. . . . and protecting it. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always equal doing what’s right. 😦

Thanks for the thoughts and visit!

  6. Star quality! God bless you and the family.
